Privacy Policy
The short version
- We have no accounts, no logins and no newsletter. We never ask you for your name or email.
- Your workout is assembled inside your browser. Your training selections are never sent to us.
- Advertising is served by Google, which uses cookies. That is the only meaningful data collection on this site.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising — links are in the section on advertising below.
1. Who is responsible for your data
This website (bananaisfit.com) is operated by Firenze Programação, a software development company based in Brazil, which acts as the data controller. You can reach us at firenze@firenzeprogramacao.com.br for any question or request relating to this policy.
2. What we collect ourselves
Almost nothing. Banana Is Fit has no user accounts and no sign-up. We do not ask for, and do not store, your name, email address, date of birth, body measurements, health information or payment details.
The workout generator runs entirely in your browser. The workout type, muscle groups, location, difficulty and duration you select are used on your own device to build the session and are never transmitted to our servers, because there is no server-side application to transmit them to.
Local storage
The site may store small preferences locally on your device (for example, whether you have already dismissed a notice). This data stays in your browser, is not readable by us, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. Like any web server, the hosting infrastructure automatically records technical request data — IP address, browser type and version, referring page, requested URL, and the date and time of the request. This is standard server logging, used to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse, and is processed on our behalf by Google. See Firebase's privacy documentation.
3. Advertising and cookies
This site is free and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. These cookies may be used to:
- measure how many people saw or clicked an ad;
- limit how many times you are shown the same ad;
- detect and prevent advertising fraud; and
- show ads relevant to your inferred interests, where you have consented to that.
We do not have access to, and do not control, the cookies used by advertisers. We never share your training selections with advertisers, because we never receive them in the first place.
How to control advertising cookies
- Turn off personalised advertising from Google at My Ad Center.
- Opt out of interest-based advertising from many other vendors at optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The generator will keep working normally if you do.
Google's own explanation of how it handles data on partner sites is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message before personalised advertising cookies are set, managed through a Google certified consent management platform. You may accept or refuse, and you can change your choice later at any time through the same message. Refusing does not restrict your access to any part of this site.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for advertising and analytics cookies that are not strictly necessary.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for the technical server logs needed to deliver the site securely and to prevent abuse.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Under the Brazilian LGPD (Lei nº 13.709/2018) you additionally have the right to confirmation of processing, to information about data sharing, and to anonymisation or blocking of unnecessary data.
Write to firenze@firenzeprogramacao.com.br to exercise any of these rights. Please note honestly what this means in practice: because we hold no accounts and no personal profiles, there is usually nothing on our side to retrieve or delete. Requests concerning advertising data held by Google are best directed to Google through the links in section 3, and we will help where we can.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to your local data protection authority — in Brazil, the ANPD.
6. Data retention
We keep no user database, so there is nothing for us to retain. Hosting logs are retained by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own policies. Advertising cookies have their own lifetimes, set by Google and typically ranging from days to months; you can delete them at any time from your browser.
7. International transfers
Our hosting and advertising providers are global services and may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These providers rely on their own safeguards for such transfers, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Minors should in any case have medical and parental clearance before following any training programme.
9. External links
Our articles link to third-party sites such as research institutions and professional bodies. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices — read their policies before providing them with any data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes or as the law does. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
