About Banana Is Fit

Banana Is Fit is a free workout generator. You pick how you want to train, where you are training and how hard you want to go, and the site builds a session for you on the spot — no account, no email, no app to install.

Why this site exists

Most people who train consistently do not quit because the programme was wrong. They quit because deciding what to do today became one more chore. Opening a spreadsheet, remembering what you trained on Monday, searching for a substitute for the machine somebody else is using — that friction is where routines die.

This tool removes the decision. It will not replace a coach who knows your history and watches your form, and it is not trying to. It answers a narrower question well: what should I do in the next hour, with the equipment actually in front of me?

How the generator works

Every exercise in the library is tagged with the muscle groups it trains, the places it can realistically be performed (gym, CrossFit box, beach or park, home) and a difficulty level. When you generate a session, the tool works through three stages:

  1. Filter by location. This is a hard constraint. If you selected Home, nothing requiring a barbell rack or a rowing machine can appear, even if that means a shorter list to choose from.
  2. Filter by difficulty. Easy shows only beginner movements; Medium adds intermediate ones; Hard opens the whole library. If a group ends up with too few options at your level, the tool widens the difficulty rather than sending you somewhere you cannot train.
  3. Draw and group. Exercises are selected at random from what survives, one movement pattern at a time, so each group you picked gets its own block. Longer sessions draw more exercises per group, and the longest ones add sets rather than an endless list of different movements. Nothing repeats inside a single workout.

The randomness is the point: rotating your exercise selection is a reasonable way to avoid the staleness and overuse that come from running the same six movements for months. It is not a substitute for progressive overload, and the tool does not pretend to track your progress over time.

Where the training guidance comes from

The exercise descriptions and the rep and set schemes follow mainstream, widely published strength and conditioning practice — principally the guidance of the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Our articles cite their sources so you can check them yourself.

We want to be straightforward about the limits of that: this is general information, assembled from public guidance, by people who build software. It is not personalised medical or fitness advice, and nobody here has assessed your health, your injury history or your technique.

⚠️ Please read: Talk to a physician before starting any new exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or illness, managing a cardiovascular or joint condition, or have been inactive for a long stretch. If a movement hurts, stop doing it. Where you can, learn unfamiliar lifts under a qualified coach before loading them.

Who runs it

Banana Is Fit is built and maintained by Firenze Programação, a software development company based in Brazil. Questions, corrections and reports of a broken or badly described exercise all go to the same place — see the contact page. We would genuinely rather hear that something is wrong than not.

How the site is paid for

The generator is free and we intend to keep it that way. Hosting and development are funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. We do not sell supplements, we do not run affiliate links, and no advertiser has any say over which exercises the generator picks or what our articles say.

Advertising involves cookies and similar technologies. What is collected, by whom, and how to opt out is set out in full in our Privacy Policy. Your training selections are not part of it — the workout is assembled in your browser and never sent to us.
